Summer budget 2015

Yesterday in the summer budget, the Chancellor George Osborne stated that disability benefits will not be taxed or means tested.

However, it was not all good news. 

From April 2017 for example, new claimants of Employment and Support Allowance who are placed in the Work-Related Activity Group will receive the same rate of benefit as those claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance – essentially a 30% cut.
