Next 55+ and Retirement Roadshow: 9 March, Worcester – Save the date!

On the 9 March 2019 at The Guild Hall, Worcester becomes the latest venue for popular 55+ and Retirement Roadshow.

The 55+ and Retirement Roadshow is a free exhibition organised by The National Careline  for those near/at and in retirement, those who care for others and those who may be in receipt of care themselves. The aim is to provide an information source for this group of people, who can then come along and find out more about issues that may be concerning them.

Whether you want help with keeping healthy and well, pensions, money, housing, heating, care, mobility, travel, work, medicines or legal issues – the professional experts in attendance should have it covered!

They can:-

  • explain why making a Will and/or Lasting Power of Attorney is so important
  • help to get the best from pensions
  • give helpful advice on tax for older people
  • explain the options available to finance retirement and care costs
  • answer any legal questions relating to the older age group
  • explain, in simple language, different types of equity release schemes
  • advise on health, wellbeing and activity
  • advise on mobility aids and schemes
  • explain the various benefits available
  • advise on adapting your home to suit your needs
  • advise if you are worried about your own or someone else's medication
  • advise on security and protection from scams and unwelcome visitors
  • explore the options for a dearly loved pet if you need to go into care
  • advise on the housing schemes available locally
  • look at ways to increase your income
  • generally answer any number of questions relating to the 55+ and retirement age group

While Disability Tax Guide will not be there, if you have any tax questions about taking on a carer, be sure to search out our friends from Tax Help for Older People who will be able to point you in the right direction with any tax questions you may have.
