Don’t forget to give your employees a P60 for the 2018/19 tax year by 31 May 2019

You should give a P60 to all employees on your payroll who were working for you on the last day of the 2018/19 tax year (5 April 2019). The P60 summarises their total pay and deductions for the year.

Please note that you cannot download blank P60s from HMRC’s website. Therefore if your payroll software does not automatically produce P60s or you file your PAYE information on paper and HMRC have not sent you a blank P60 automatically, you will have to order copies from HMRC. Please note that orders for P60 forms may take up to seven working days to reach you.

You can use HMRC’s online order form (if you will be completing the P60 by hand, you need to select the option ‘P60 (SingleSheet/Shortened) (2017-2018) – Certificate of Pay. For manual completion or with a Laser Printer’).
